Questions

Where is the property?
The Observatory is part of LumenKind’s private East Austin headquarters, above the Colorado River and minutes from downtown and the airport. The exact address is shared when a visit or scout is scheduled.
How many people can the property accommodate?
We consider both intimate and larger formats based on the intended use, layout and support plan. Share your expected crew or guest count when you inquire, and we’ll confirm what the property can comfortably support.
What hours is the property available?
Bookings are generally available between 7am and 10pm. Access is private during the reserved time and scoped to the areas included in the booking.
Is the property indoor or outdoor?
Both, though the experience is primarily outdoors. The climate-controlled 450 SF Hub provides a lounge, full kitchen and restroom. The enclosed Geode provides an additional creative or breakout space.
What should we know about parking and access?
On-site parking is available for 25+ vehicles. A ramp provides access to the main outdoor level; other parts of the property include gravel, grass, slopes and uneven terrain. Share any access needs in advance so we can recommend the best route and setup.
Can we bring our own catering, alcohol or vendors?
In most cases, yes. Food, beverage, rentals and vendor plans must be reviewed and approved in advance for the specific use and format.
What happens if the weather changes?
Because much of the property is outdoors, each booking should have a weather plan. The 30' × 40' flexible pad can support approved tented setups. Tenting and weather contingencies are reviewed in advance.
What production support is available?
Wi-Fi, restrooms, on-site parking and standard power are available. Load-in, equipment and additional power requirements are reviewed during scouting.
